The Role:

Oxfam Southern Africa seeks a Human Resources Intern to provide functional and technical HR support in executing all related operational HR initiatives to improve organizational performance through our personnel. The HR Intern will collaborate closely with the country and SAF Cluster HR teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services. This role will offer the intern the chance to gain practical experience. The internship will be advantageous for both the intern and Oxfam SAF. This position is designed to enhance the intern’s theoretical understanding of human resources management with practical insights. Additionally, Oxfam SAF will gain from the intern's diverse academic knowledge, professional experiences, and personal creativity.


What we are looking for:

We are searching for a candidate who is passionate about Oxfam's mission to eradicate poverty and aligns personally with our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusion in all endeavors.

The ideal candidate for this position will also possess:

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or Business Administration

- At least one year of experience in HR, office administration, or a similar capacity

- Strong understanding of communication systems and office management.

- Excellent organizational abilities.

- Capability to operate under pressure and in challenging environments.

- Sound knowledge of local labor laws.
