Job Overview

The Office of the Master of the High Court of Zimbabwe is seeking qualified and experienced candidates to fill eight Trainee Assistant Master positions within the Deceased Estates/Insolvency and Minors Division.

These roles offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to the justice system in Zimbabwe, supporting estate administration, insolvency matters, and minors’ affairs.


Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

- A recognized LLB degree

- A pass in the Law of Succession/Insolvency (added advantage)

- Strong writing and verbal communication skills

- Computer literacy is a must

- Good innovative skills

- Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure with minimum supervision

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Membership of the Law Society of Zimbabwe (added advantage)


Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Preside over estate/creditors/dispute resolution meetings

- Draft various types of authority documents

- Audit estate liquidation and distribution accounts

- Draft Master’s Reports and other litigation documents

- Represent the Office in Courts

- Attend to client inquiries

- Conduct inspections in loco across various estates

- Perform legal research

- Attend to any other duties as assigned from time to time
