Position Title: Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting and Record-Keeping

    - Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports to support decision-making.

    - Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.

2. Payroll and Statutory Payments

    - Assist in the preparation of payroll and ensure timely disbursement of salaries and benefits.

    - File statutory returns such as PAYE, VAT, NSSA, and ZIMRA.

    - Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory payroll requirements.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

    - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans.

    - Monitor budget performance and ensure expenses stay within approved limits.

    - Identify variances and assist in financial forecasting aligned with strategic goals.

    - Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient financial practices.

4. Compliance and Internal Controls

    - Adhere strictly to organisational financial policies and procedures.

    - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.

    - Conduct reviews of internal controls to protect organisational assets.

    - Initiate corrective actions to address any non-compliance.

5. Audit and Financial Oversight

    - Assist in the preparation and support of both internal and external audits.

    - Ensure compliance with audit requirements by maintaining proper documentation and records.

    - Implement audit recommendations and strengthen financial systems.

6. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

    - Monitor banking activities and ensure adequate funds are available.

    - Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.

    - Process payments and disbursements in line with approved procedures.

    - Reconcile bank and investment accounts regularly.

7. Procurement and Inventory

    - Assist in planning and managing procurement processes.

    - Ensure procurement activities align with organisational policies.

    - Manage inventory valuation and ensure accurate financial tracking of assets.


Requirements

1. BSc Honors Degree in Accounting/Finance

2. Part ACCA or equivalent is an added advantage

3. At least 3 years progressively responsible finance roles.

4. Valid Class 4 Driver's License.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.

- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to meet deadlines.
