1. Procurement Administrator – Head Office


Job Purpose

This role supports the Procurement Manager and ensures that procurement activities comply with the regulations enforced by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) and adhere to the Institution’s Procurement Policy and Procedures.


Key Duties

_ Coordinate and consolidate plans from Regional and Departmental levels to establish the Institution's annual Procurement Plan.

_ Manage the entire procurement process.

_ Facilitate contract negotiations and assess supplier performance according to the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDPA) Act.

_ Assist in organizing pre-bid, site, and evaluation meetings for tenders.

_ Prepare Bidding Documents for the Manager’s review.

_ Aid in drafting contracts for legal assessment and ensure timely renewal, promoting efficient and cost-effective project completion.

_ Implement quality management checks to prevent non-conformances.

_ Collaborate with Regional Procurement Assistants to gather monthly reports.


Qualifications and Experience

_ A degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or an equivalent field.

_ A professional certification in procurement, ideally CIPS or a related qualification, is advantageous.

_ A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the Public Procurement sector, with at least two years in a supervisory role.


Skills and Competencies

_ Demonstrated integrity that aligns with the standards expected from procurement officials as outlined in the Act, Self-motivated with the capacity to work under pressure and outside of standard hours, Strong report writing skills, Capable of functioning independently as well as collaboratively within a team, Excellent attention to detail, precise and analytical.

Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDPA) Act {Chapter 22:23} and PPDPA Regulations {Statutory Instrument 5 of 2018}.
