TWENTY NINE (29) LEARNER SECURITY GUARDS: LOSS CONTROL AND SECURITY SERVICES BRANCH: VARIOUS DEPOTS

Company: National Railways of Zimbabwe

Location: Bulawayo 

Deadline: 28 August  2025


Key Responsibilities:-

1. Safeguarding Railway property, Customer property and infrastructure through patrols, static guards and escorts.

2. Conducting Hand-over/Take-over procedures with Security Personnel of contiguous Railways and completing Cross Border Hand-over Forms.

3. Liaising with Security Personnel of contiguous Railways in cases of losses in transit.

4. Investigating, interrogating, challenging, searching, arresting persons found acting suspiciously on Railway property and recording observations made during own shift or beat in a notebook and reporting to supervisor accordingly.

5. Assisting Conductors on Train policing duties, ensuring the safety of revenue, passengers and rolling stock.

6. Protecting officials and staff proceeding on pay-outs and banking by providing armed escorts.

7. Assisting in Court proceedings as required by attending trials of persons charged with committing crime on Railway property.


Applicants for the posts must:-

a) Have a minimum of two G.C.E. 'O' Level passes at grade C or better

b) Be between the ages of 18 – 46 years.

d) Have no criminal record.

e) Have a height of at least 1.75m for men and 1.6m for women.

f) Be physically fit.
