INTERNAL JOB POSTING 

We invite applications from qualified individuals to apply for the position of Junior Chef with Rainbow Tourism Group. The chosen applicant will work in the Food Preparation Department at the Kadoma Hotel & Conference Centre in Kadoma. This role will report directly to the Head Chef.


Key responsibilities include:  

- Preparing and serving high-quality dishes for guests, while ensuring that food handling, hygiene, and safety protocols are consistently maintained.  

- Working alongside senior chefs in menu creation, mise en place, and daily kitchen operations.  

- Keeping workstations and kitchen equipment clean and organized.  

- Assisting with inventory management, portion control, and reducing food waste.  

- Staying updated on culinary trends and actively engaging in training and development opportunities.  


Job Requirements:  

Candidates must possess the following:  

- A National Certificate in Professional Cookery.  

- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with practical knowledge of food production and service standards.  

- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.  

- Competence in managing production-related figures.  

- Strong coordination abilities.  

- Expertise in healthy cooking and sustainable food practices.  

- Attentiveness to customer requirements.  

- A high standard of personal presentation and integrity. Ability to pay attention to detail, maintain honesty, and work with limited supervision.
