LECTURESHIP VACANCIES IN THE ENGINEERING FACULTY  

NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY  


The University is looking to hire qualified candidates for the following positions within the Faculty of Engineering:


LECTURESHIP/SENIOR LECTURESHIP/ASSOCIATE PROFESSORSHIP (2 VACANCIES)  

Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering  


POSITION A: (1 VACANCY)  


Candidates must possess a minimum of an MSc/MEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management, Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management, or an equivalent qualification. A PhD in the relevant field is preferred. Applicants should hold a BEng/BSc/BTech honours degree in one of the following disciplines: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent degree and have research interests in Manufacturing Processes and Advanced Manufacturing Technology. The selected candidate will be required to teach courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Manufacturing Processes, Logistics, Manufacturing Information and Database Systems, and Advanced Manufacturing Technology, while also contributing to the supervision of student research. Additionally, they must design and conduct experiments and lead research in the specified area.


POSITION B: (1 VACANCY)  


Applicants must have at least an MSc/MEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management, Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management, or an equivalent qualification. A PhD in the relevant field would be advantageous. Candidates must have a BEng/BSc/BTech honours degree in one of the following areas: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and demonstrate research interests in Mechanics of Machines. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses such as Dynamics, Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Fluid Mechanics, as well as contribute to the supervision of student research. They must also design and conduct experiments and lead research in the relevant field.
