Overview

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Organize provisions, prepare meals for guests, and ensure the kitchen, dining area, and campsite are kept clean and well-maintained.
• Keep accurate records of guests, provide details about camp facilities, activities, and the surrounding area, and communicate essential safety information.
• Manage food storage and pantry supplies, implement necessary controls, and carry out regular inventory checks.
• Spot and report maintenance issues promptly to guarantee timely solutions.
• Coordinate with the front office regarding guest forecasts and share feedback with management on maintenance or guest concerns.
REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
• Relevant culinary training as a chef/cook.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a camp cook/chef in a tourism or service context.
• Strong communication skills, fluent in both spoken and written English, capable of engaging effectively with both guests and staff.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong attention to detail and a professional, discreet manner to ensure guest satisfaction and handle potential conflicts.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills to foresee, identify, and resolve issues in a methodical and empathetic way.
• Solid administrative skills, including diligence in adhering to SOPs and accurately meeting requirements.
