Job Overview  

The Zimbabwe United Passenger Company, a government-owned organization, provides urban and long-distance bus services throughout Zimbabwe. Successful applicants will report to the Workshop Foreperson and will be tasked with vehicle diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and other related responsibilities.  


Key Responsibilities  

Carry out diagnostics and repairs on vehicles  

Execute vehicle maintenance and respond to breakdowns  

Rebuild engines, gearboxes, and components  

Keep accurate documentation  

Communicate with customers  

Train apprentices and interns  


Qualifications & Experience  

5 ‘O’ Level passes, including English and Mathematics  

Qualified artisan Class 1 in the relevant trade or an accredited diploma  

3 to 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience in heavy-duty diesel vehicle maintenance  

A clean Class 2 driver’s license is required  


Personal Attributes  

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities  

Focused on results and safety  

Capable of working independently
