Principal Accountabilities:

- Manages hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient functionality.

- Oversees and maintains all hotel IT systems, including servers, networks, PMS (Property Management System), POS (Point of Sale), and telecommunication systems.

- Ensures seamless integration of hotel applications such as front desk management, reservations, guest services, and accounting software.

- Performs regular system updates, maintenance, and backups to ensure data security and integrity.

- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive guest and hotel data.

- Monitors and responds to potential security threats, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).

- Conducts regular vulnerability assessments and staff training on cybersecurity best practices.

- Provides technical support and training to hotel staff on IT systems and applications.

- Liaises with technology vendors and service providers to ensure optimal IT solutions for hotel operations.

- Develops and manages the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.

- Stays updated on emerging technologies and trends in the hospitality industry.

- Implements innovative IT solutions to enhance guest experiences, such as mobile check-ins, digital key access, and AI-driven concierge services.

- Optimises the hotel's digital presence, including Wi-Fi services, smart room technologies, and CRM systems.


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 5 Years of experience in previous senior leadership IT Field Service.

- Experience with hotel-specific software such as Opera, Micros, or similar systems.

- System-related professional certifications desired.

- Strong knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi), cybersecurity, and cloud computing.

- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, database management (SQL), and virtualisation.

- Familiarity with VoIP, CCTV, and biometric access control systems.
