ROLE PROFILE

AFC Land & Development Bank, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Administration, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing timely and accurate management accounts, conduct branch performance reviews, supporting strategic projects through robust financial appraisals, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.


 Duties and Responsibilities :

- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and performance reports.

- Conduct branch performance monitoring, including profitability and efficiency analysis.

- Perform financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.

- Undertake project appraisals and investment evaluations.

- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Develop dashboards and analytical reports.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and systems.

- Assist in compliance with applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.

- Checking journals and facilitating month-end processes

- Maintain and update fixed asset register.

- Assist in preparation for annual audit


Qualifications and Experience :

- Degree in Accounting, Finance and or related field.

- Professional Qualification such as ACCA; CIMA; CIS or progress towards CA qualification are an added advantage.

- Minimum of (2) years’ experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar analytical finance role.

- Advanced Excell skills with proven ability to develop complex models and reports.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of Power BI or other AI-driven business analytics tools (advantageous)

- Proficiency in accounting standards and application in financial reporting.

- Proficiency in accounting systems and ability to leverage them for reporting and analysis.

- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
