Vacancies  : Procurement Officer   , Environmental Health Officer

1. Procurement Officer - Grade 8


 Reporting to: The Town Secretary

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Possession of 5 O' Levels, including English and Mathematics, completed in one sitting

- A degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or a related field

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role within the Procurement Management Unit in the Public Sector

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement

- Familiarity with the Electronic-Government Procurement System

- Must be at least 35 years old

- No criminal history

- A valid Class 4 driver's license

- Must be a citizen of Zimbabwe



Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring adherence to procurement regulations

- Implementing procurement plans

- Leading contract negotiation processes

- Managing procurement documentation

- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

- Facilitating the adoption of procurement methods

- Coordinating the Electronic-Government Procurement System

- Advising on procurement-related matters and procedures



2. Environmental Health Officer (EHO) - Grade 8


 Reporting to: The Housing and Community Services Officer


 Job Summary:

The Environmental Health Officer is responsible for promoting and enforcing health policies and regulations, ensuring that health standards are met within the community.


 Qualifications and Requirements:


- Completion of 5 O' Levels, including English and Mathematics, in one sitting

- A degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field

- A Master’s Degree in Environmental Health or Public Health would be an advantage

- Registration with the Environmental Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe

- A valid practicing certificate

- No criminal background

- At least 5 years of experience in a similar field

- Must be at least 35 years old

- A clean Class 4 driver's license

- Must be a citizen of Zimbabwe


 Key Responsibilities:


- Overseeing environmental health initiatives

- Formulating strategies for disease prevention and management

- Inspecting establishments for licensing and registration

- Collaborating on the design of infrastructure

- Identifying opportunities for reviewing environmental health policies

- Compiling and submitting progress reports

- Supervising subordinates and interns
