Candidate Profile
Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of supervisory experience and a solid background in the hotel industry. The individual must have at least five O’ Level passes, including English Language, and hold a Diploma or higher in Hotel and Catering from a recognized Hospitality Training Institution. Effective communication skills at all organizational levels are also essential.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and will oversee the
housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure the productivity and service quality meet the hotel's standard operating procedures (SOP).
Responsibilities include managing linen inventory and cleaning supplies, reporting and following up on maintenance issues, training and staffing within the department, and assisting students in training.
The role entails supervising the cleaning crew in guest rooms, including the laundry team, performing inspections of guest accommodations, hallways, and public areas daily, conducting performance assessments, and offering feedback to staff.
Furthermore, the role involves submitting room status updates to the front desk, including maintenance inspections and collaborating with other hotel departments, upholding cleanliness standards throughout the hotel, attending to the first aid requirements of both guests and staff, coordinating daily with the Front Office Department or Duty Managers to fulfill special guest requests, and managing financial tasks such as budget adherence.
The candidate must also be prepared to take on Duty Management responsibilities and perform various housekeeping tasks as needed.
