Overview


The City of Harare is in search of a qualified Database Administrator tasked with the installation, configuration, upkeep, and performance optimization of database systems.


This position includes ensuring database security, conducting backups, resolving issues, and maintaining documentation.


Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain database systems.

Monitor the performance and security of databases.

Perform database backups and restorations.

Diagnose and resolve database issues.

Prepare documentation and reports.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.

Certification in database administration is preferred.

At least 3 years of experience in database administration.


Desired Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to perform under pressure.
