Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Transaction Processing
- Conduct KYC checks on all transactions.
- Confirm the validity of currency received for outgoing transactions.
- Accurately count and recount cash prior to disbursement.
- Cancel outbound orders that do not comply with KYC requirements.
- Monitor transaction limits according to central bank regulations.
- Customer Service
- Help customers with form completion and understanding services.
- Promote Mukuru products and services to clients.
- Compliance and Security
- Report any suspicious transactions to the AML Reporting Officer.
- Assist customers in completing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) forms for flagged transactions.
- Ensure the safe keeping of cash, managing personal PIN and password.
- Secure devices overnight.
- Perform a daily security check of the booth premises.
- Maintain a visitor logbook and verify identities.
- Complete all mandatory compliance training.
- Operations and Housekeeping
- Conduct daily cash reconciliations.
- Keep the workspace and booth tidy and organized.
Housekeeping
- Clean the booth daily before starting operations.
- Maintain daily cleanliness of the work area.
- Inspect the premises for security daily before opening.
- Ensure the visitor logbook is signed and note IDs (booth teller).
Key Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in the financial industry
- Familiarity with foreign currencies
- Understanding of FICA regulations
- Knowledge of the Cash Stops App system
