 Job Overview:
Helianth Farmers (Pvt) Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of the Women's University in Africa, is seeking applications for the Farm Manager position. The selected individual will be tasked with the efficient and sustainable management of the farm's activities, including crop and livestock production, staff oversight, resource allocation, and maintenance of infrastructure.  
  
 Key Responsibilities: 
  
1.  Farm Manager :
   - Create and implement seasonal production strategies for crops and livestock.  
   - Oversee land preparation, planting, pest and disease management, harvesting, and post-harvest procedures.  
   - Manage breeding, feeding, healthcare, and overall welfare of animals.  
   - Supervise the upkeep and functioning of irrigation systems.  

2.  Financial and Resource Management:
   - Develop and administrate yearly budgets and production strategies.  
   - Track input usage, expenses, and output pricing to improve performance and sustain profitability.  
   - Produce operational and financial reports for management's review.  
   - Craft persuasive business proposals and engage in grant writing.  

3.  Human Resource Management:
   - Hire, train, and oversee farm staff and technical teams.  
   - Organize daily activities, schedules, and performance evaluations.  
   - Promote a work environment characterized by productivity, accountability, and ongoing improvement.  

  
 Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  - National Diploma in Agriculture/Agribusiness/Agronomy/Animal Science.  
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management.  
- Comprehensive knowledge of Zimbabwean crop and livestock systems.  
- Valid Class 4 driver's license.  

  
 Added Advantages: 

- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, or a related discipline.  
- Experience in managing farms in educational or research contexts.  
- Familiarity with sustainable and precision agriculture practices.  
  

 Key Competences: 

- Leadership skills and capability in people management.  
- Planning, budgeting, and decision-making competencies.  
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT.  
- Ability to operate independently.
