3. BOOKKEEPER – (HARARE & GWERU)


Candidate Profile:

_ The suitable applicant should have the following basic qualifications:

_ At least 5 “O” Level passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

_ An Honours degree in Accounting / Finance or an equivalent qualification.

_ Advanced computer skills with a strong familiarity with Sage Evolution 200 (latest version) is mandatory.

_ A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

_ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling figures.

_ Capability to perform well under pressure.

_ High standards of integrity and professional ethics.


Role Overview:

This role reports directly to the Regional Director and functionally to the Finance Manager. The Key Result Areas include:

_ Compiling monthly management accounts.

_ Monthly reconciliation of the creditors register.

_ Making payments to creditors within specified timeframes.

_ Entering data into Sage 200 and conducting monthly bank reconciliations.

_ Verifying the accuracy of petty cash vouchers prior to disbursements.

_ Producing accurate Variance Analysis reports for the Region.

_ Ensuring the correctness of Travel and Subsistence claim forms and generating journals.

_ Issuing and documenting fuel coupons.

_ Safeguarding security items that hold financial value.

_ Overseeing subordinates to achieve established targets.

_ Monitoring and managing budgetary expenditures.

_ Performing other related tasks as directed by management as necessary.
