VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT.

Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer  


Duty Station: Harare, Zimbabwe  


Type of Appointment: Permanent  


Estimated Start Date: 30 July 2025

Key Responsibilities:  


1. Development and Implementation of M&E Framework: Create and execute a thorough M&E framework to monitor and assess the performance of our investments.  


2. Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data from various sources, including financial statements, progress updates, and surveys.  


3. Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of our investments against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide ongoing progress updates to management.  


4. Evaluation and Impact Assessment: Conduct evaluations and impact assessments of our investments to assess their efficacy.  


5. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and deliver regular reports to management, investors, and other stakeholders regarding the performance and impact of our investments.  


6. Capacity Building: Offer training and support for capacity building to our investee companies to enhance their MSE capabilities.  


7. Collaboration and Coordination: Work collaboratively with other teams, including investment portfolio management and finance, to ensure M&E data is incorporated into investment decisions and portfolio management.  


Requirements:  

Degree in Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Public Policy, or a relevant field.  

A minimum of 2 years of experience in M&E, ideally in a venture capital or private equity firm.  

Valid Class 4 Driver's License.  


Skills:  

Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.  

Outstanding communication and reporting abilities.  

Capacity to design and implement M&E frameworks.  

Experience with data collection and analysis software, such as Excel, SPSS, or Stata.  

Familiarity with impact assessment and evaluation techniques.
